Walls of My Skull
There is something very alluring about the silence I tend to hear
Maybe it’s just the thought of me capturing emptiness
Or soaking up the peace
When you're alone you can listen to the thoughts that scramble
Around in the walls of my skull
But the moment that silence breaks
That’s the time when you don't feel so alone
No matter how much I love silence, I will admit
The sound of it breaking is almost as enjoyable as the silence itself

Dear Heart; Prepare to Self Destruct
Dear heart
Today I met a boy
Prepare to self destruct

As I will soon realize
He is not for me

When I do
I will become broken
And take my anger out on you

Sorry in advance
For the beating

But if this goes like all the other times
I may get you shattered
But I have the common sense
That you will mend eventually

Sincerely
The average teenage girl

 Error of Man's Capability
Ignorance, the simple knowledge, is what he lacks, or maybe the man was just naive. He doesn't give much thought to anything such as the snow, so pure or even the weather that will chill him to the bone. Surviving wouldn’t have been so difficult, if the man in "To Build A Fire" by Jack London, had a thought in his head, other than "I have to get to camp."            Without thinking, like always, the man headed out in to the -50 degree weather in search of camp. By the time he realized there was an issue, it was too late. He was dying, slowly, but surely, because of the weather that was so inevitable. The day grew colder, and he continued to not contain one thought in his mind. Once again, the man didn’t try to plan or solve, “he was not much given to thinking.” Carrying on what he was doing, this scene shows how ignorant he was. Knowing that it was it was cold, knowing not to go out by himself, and ignoring the old-timers advice, it was no longer a matter of naivety, it was just pure ignorance.               If he would have listened to the old-timer, that could have saved him from the worst. Being elderly, the old-timer represented the wisdom that the man had lacked because his mind was empty of imagination and knowledge. The emptiness lead to death, it was just an error of mans capability. Another fault of the man was the chewing tobacco. Representing bad habit, the chewing tobacco was hinting to the reader that something bad was bound to happen. Chewing tobacco kills you over time, and the death at the end of the story didn’t seem quick and painless, it was over time and too painful to bear. With the gloomy day, cold and gray, with the bad habits of chewing tobacco and ignorance, it was guaranteed to end in a tragic death.               In the fight between man versus nature, nature came out victorious. Seeing man wasn’t exactly a threat, nature prevailed without a sweat. The man’s mental incapacity is what made him the death-sicle he had transformed into.
