Tears of Heaven
It was a very juxtapose scene
To see the sunsetting as the downpour converge together
Just above the horizon of the lake
To make the most beautiful of sunsets
As if painted by the hands of an artisan
Histrionic by itself
The tears of the heavens fall
With a decorous dive into the wet satin
Only to decend into the nothingness

In Pursuit Of Perfection
In the world of perfection, equality isn’t as pleasant as you would think. With hurting back and aching feet, people go out of their way to cover up their strengths. To make the weak feel stronger and the slow seem fast, the strengths of people are non-existent. Hiding behind the masks of what people want them to be, the world is unfair and turning for the worst. Thinking about perfections seems amazing, but perfection itself is disastrous. People are punished for their abilities in the short story of “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Currently, our world is full of imperfections and misunderstandings, but we learn lessons from our flaws.
The imperfection that people behold is what keeps the world sane. We understand pain and whish is wrong from right, as opposed to the story “Harrison Bergeron”. All the people in the story were used to the same old same old. To take control in what they believe in, they needed to change the society in which they live, but they let fear of what might happen the next day changed the way they look at things. Harrison, being that strong brawny kid, stood up for what he thought but in the end, he died for what he believed in. In pursuit of perfection, everyone is the same. Without flaws mankind would be an insane place full of ruin and despair, similar to the problems in the story. Using handicaps to create equality makes the short story a nightmare vision of reality.
Striving for perfection and equality, our society is going to go downhill because that is not what we should be focused on. If equality comes to the world that we live in, we will lose our opinions much like everyone in “Harrison Bergeron”. When opinions are gone, we become helpless and everyone subsides to the person standing next to them. Once everyone becomes the people surrounding them, the world will become boring, helpless and no one will have common sense that you should be yourself because you were born to be what you are good at. When authorities, like Hazel, take what you do well at away, you are no different than anyone else.
When it comes down to it, thoughts and actions are two totally different things. Thinking about being equal and flawless seems like great characteristics to have in the world, but when it turns the world into a nightmare, perfection doesn’t seem so favorable after all. Loss of opinions means loss of option to strive to be what you want to be.
------ It's Snow No More
Copious mounds of snow gather road side
Days grow on
Being bullied by kids
With their tiny little fingers
They gather up the face gently
Into little balls of the existence
Just to be smashed and shattered
Splattered against the sidewalk
Bruised beaten and broken
It's snow no more
Simple sprinkle of frosty white lay upon the concrete
Never to be touched again
Just to be stepped on
And forgotten by the people passing by
